Gilles accretio
Gilles Dufour, PhD Principal

Gilles Dufour, PhD

Gilles founded Accretio Management to provide life sciences companies with differentiated competitive intelligence services to help them shape their development strategies. Prior to founding Accretio Management, Gilles served as Director, Corporate Development and Clinical Strategy at Synthorx, Inc, where he was involved in both BD and clinical developments. Prior to joining Synthorx, Gilles was an Associate at RA Capital Management, LLC. Gilles holds Masters degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Industrial Pharmacy from the University of Louvain and a PhD in Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences from the University of Liège. He previously completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School, where he investigated gene therapy for targeted cancer immunotherapies.

Anais accretio
Anaïs Wanet, PhD Consultant

Anaïs Wanet, PhD

Anaïs holds a Master in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology, and a PhD in Cell Biology from the University of Namur, Belgium. Her graduate research investigated bi-directional interactions between metabolism and stem cell differentiation. Anaïs also gained expertise in hematology and immunology while working as a postdoctoral associate at the Harvard Stem Cell Institute, where she investigated the dysregulation of specific genes in leukemia and their role in normal hematopoiesis. Since she joined Accretio Management in 2020, Anais has worked with life sciences companies focused on both hematological and solid tumor indications, and adviced them on their clinical developments.

Thibault accretio
Thibault Barbier, PhD Consultant

Thibault Barbier, PhD

Thibault holds a Master in Molecular Biology and Microbiology, and a PhD in Biochemistry, Metabolism and Immunology from the University of Namur, Belgium. Thibault pursued his scientific training as a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard School of Public Health, where he deepened his expertise as a molecular biologist and gained complementary knowledge in the fields of RNA biology and large datasets computational analysis. Since he joined Accretio Management in 2020, Thibault has adviced life science companies at various stages of development and gained expertise in numerous technologies and therapeutic indications, including oncology and infectious diseases.

Pierre accretio
Pierre Godessart, PhD Senior Associate

Pierre Godessart, PhD

Pierre holds a Master in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology obtained at the University of Namur, Belgium. During his master, he also performed an internship as a student researcher at the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology at the University of Oxford. Pierre completed his PhD in microbiology at the University of Namur where he investigated the physical interactions of the envelope in a pathogenic bacterium. The results of his work were published in Nature Microbiology. Pierre’s responsibilities at Accretio are to create indication and target-specific competitive landscapes and he works closely with our consultants on advising our clients on many aspects of their scientific and strategic developments.

Justine Bellier, PhD Associate

Justine Bellier, PhD

Justine holds a Master in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Mons, Belgium and a PhD in Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Liege, Belgium. Her graduate research made significant contributions to the understanding of metabolic stress pathways leading to therapeutic resistance in colorectal cancer. Justine pursued her research as a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard Medical School, where she studied mechanisms of acquired resistance to targeted therapies in lung cancer. Since she joined Accretio Management, Justine has worked closely with our consultants on advising our clients on many aspects of their clinical and business developments.

Emeline Accretio
Emeline Lawarée, PhD Associate

Emeline Lawarée, PhD

Emeline holds a Master in Molecular Biology and Microbiology, and a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Namur (Belgium). She pursued her scientific career as a postdoctoral researcher at the Dunn School of Pathology, at Oxford University (UK), where she deepened her expertise as microbiologist working on pathogenic bacteria and their adaptation to changing environments. Emeline then perfectionated her scientific knowledge by performing a second postdoctoral research at the Pasteur Institute in Paris (France), where she worked in close collaboration with well-renowned international companies, with the aim of developing new treatment regimens for tuberculosis.

Since she joined Accretio, Emeline has worked closely with our consultants on advising our clients on many aspects of their scientific and strategic developments.
